HiKiz e.V. - Out of Love for the Region
Hi, we’re Matthias and Fabian—two friends who love to explore the mountains, enjoy nature, and often come up with our best ideas while out and about. During a hike together in the Allgäu, we talked about how we could combine our passion for hiking with a meaningful cause. That’s how the idea for HiKiz e.V. was born.
We didn’t just want to be active outdoors; we also wanted to do some good—specifically, right here in our region in the foothills of the Alps. Because we believe that responsibility starts right on our own doorstep. And children who grow up in difficult circumstances or are struggling with challenging life situations deserve our attention more than anyone.

Climbing mountains and doing good in the process—what's behind “HiKiZ”
For Fabian Albrecht, the mountains are both a source of strength and a wellspring of ideas. It was there that he developed the concept for his organization, Hikiz (“Hiking for Kids”), which raises money for underprivileged children in the region based on the elevation gain from their hikes. The 34-year-old founded the organization together with his longtime friend Matthias Knödler. With this extraordinary achievement, Fabian alone is contributing €5,000 to the HiKiZ e.V. fundraising campaign. As always, the money will benefit regional children’s charities and support important projects there.
Dancing for a Good Cause! €700 Raised for HiKiZ e.V.!
At the Zumba event hosted by BSK Olympia Neugablonz and bodyandbeat_kathrin (Instagram), participants didn’t just dance and work up a sweat—they also did some good. Thanks to the fantastic support of all participants, we were able to raise €700.00, which will benefit HiKiZ e.V. The official donation handoff took place on February 26 during a personal meeting with our board member Fabian Albrecht. We would like to sincerely thank everyone for your support!

On February 20, 2026, our board member Fabian Albrecht met with the Allgäu Brand—with a fantastic result: HiKiZ e.V. is now an official partner of the Allgäu Brand. This partnership is based on shared values and opens up new opportunities to raise awareness of our projects and to provide even more children in difficult life situations with prospects, support, and special moments. We look forward to this collaboration and to making a big difference together for our region and, above all, for children.
ASV Hegge Donates to a Good Cause!
ASV Hegge’s legendary “Over-39” party took place for the 17th time last November. As is the case every year, a portion of the proceeds was donated to charity. A total of 1,800 euros went to three organizations. The 8000km.live project of the Essen University Medical Center Foundation, the Support Group for Children with Cancer in the Allgäu, and the Kempten-based association HiKiZ e.V., which supports projects for underprivileged children, each received 600 euros. ASV Hegge would like to thank all the guests, DJs Pat Moreno and DJ Gero, the many volunteers, and the municipality of Waltenhofen for making these donations possible.
An Evening That Moves You: A Successful Charity Night in Weißenhorn
Weißenhorn has shown what a community can achieve: At HiKiZ e.V.’s first Charity Night, over 15,000 euros were raised for regional children’s charities—an impressive result from an all-around successful evening. A real highlight of the evening was the charity raffle, which alone raised around 7,000 euros. Attractive prizes, such as a cruise or a weekend at the Panoramahotel Oberjoch, generated great excitement among the guests. Another significant moment was the presentation of the 2025 donation total of 28,200 euros to several social organizations. In addition, guests were able to vote directly on the recipients of next year’s donations. The organizers’ conclusion is clear: The Charity Night was not only a financial success but also a strong symbol of solidarity in the region. And planning is already underway: On March 13, 2027, the Charity Night will return for its next edition—this time under the theme “Mallorquin Nights.” It’s a sequel we can already look forward to.

When Music Makes a Difference: DJ Gigs for a Good Cause
Our president, Fabian Albrecht, is not only active with HiKiZ e.V., but also sets the right mood as a DJ at weddings, corporate events, and other gatherings. What makes this special is that he donates his entire fee to HiKiZ e.V. This raises several thousand euros each year, which we pass on to regional children’s charities at the end of the year. With every performance, we not only celebrate but also make an important contribution to children and families in our region. We would like to thank all the event organizers and guests who support this special form of commitment. Together, we show that music and helping others go hand in hand.
Pfefferminzia Summit Tour 2026: More Than Just Elevation Gain
2,300 meters of elevation gain, 37 kilometers, and four seasons in a single day—that was the 2026 Pfefferminzia Summit Tour. From sunshine to hail and rain, all the way to snow on the final meters to the summit—we experienced it all. Despite numb fingers, wet clothes, and the recurring question, “How many meters of elevation gain are left?” the mood remained excellent throughout. The conversations along the way were especially valuable. Away from the daily grind of work, new connections were made, fresh ideas for joint projects emerged, and initial plans for the next industry event took shape. It’s precisely these encounters that make such tours special: people get to know one another outside of a professional context and develop new perspectives together. Another highlight: Thanks to the support of Pfefferminzia, Versicherungskammer Maklermanagement, KV.Haus, and the Inter Insurance Group, over 6,000 euros were raised for HiKiZ e.V. Many thanks to all our fellow hikers for the sweat, the laughter, the unforgettable moments, and the proof that good spirits really are weatherproof.
PERI Hiking Day 2026: International Encounters, the Allgäu Mountains, and 2,500 euros for a good cause
8,848 meters of elevation gain for a good cause – Ingo takes on the Alpin8 Everesting challenge
Today we’d like to introduce you to Ingo. The tax consultant at BSKP in Ulm will be participating in the Alpin8 Everesting event in Brand from July 3 to 5, 2026. His goal: 8,848 meters of elevation gain—the height of Mount Everest. To achieve this, he will run the same uphill route 17 times within 34 hours. Through this athletic challenge, Ingo is raising funds for children together with us. If he reaches the 8,848 meters of elevation gain, BSKP will donate an additional 884.80 euros to HiKiZ e.V. to support our children’s projects. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ingo and BSKP for their tremendous commitment and are keeping our fingers crossed for the Everesting event!
Everesting 2026 – When limits exist only in the mind.
On July 3, 2026, Ingo Vogt took on an extraordinary challenge: Everesting in the Brandnertal. In 23 hours and 50 minutes, he conquered 9,200 meters of elevation gain—step by step, battling fatigue, pain, and the voice in his own head. His achievement impressively demonstrates that the greatest limits do not lie on the mountain, but within ourselves. Michael Rupp E5 Alpcross powered by HiKiZ e.V. - 12 participants successfully reach Merano
From July 18 to 25, 2026, 12 participants in the Michael Rupp E5 Alpcross powered by HiKiZ e.V. successfully completed the legendary Alpine crossing from Oberstdorf to Merano. Along the way, they covered 94.25 kilometers, with 6,844 meters of elevation gain and 7,485 meters of elevation loss. The challenging tour demanded endurance, willpower, and true team spirit from the participants. Upon arriving in Merano, everyone can look back with pride on an impressive athletic and personal achievement. Congratulations to all participants on this outstanding accomplishment.
RegioMess Challenge Week 2026: Reaching New Heights Together!
28,689 meters of elevation gain—with this impressive achievement, the RegioMess team surpassed last year’s result by about 25% during Challenge Week 2026. Together, they racked up an incredible 46,830 meters of elevation gain over the past two Challenge Weeks. This achievement shows what’s possible with team spirit, motivation, and camaraderie.
