HiKiz e.V. - Out of Love for the Region
Hi, we’re Matthias and Fabian—two friends who love to explore the mountains, enjoy nature, and often come up with our best ideas while out and about. During a hike together in the Allgäu, we talked about how we could combine our passion for hiking with a meaningful cause. That’s how the idea for HiKiz e.V. was born.
We didn’t just want to be active outdoors; we also wanted to do some good—specifically, right here in our region in the foothills of the Alps. Because we believe that responsibility starts right on our own doorstep. And children who grow up in difficult circumstances or are struggling with challenging life situations deserve our attention more than anyone.
That was the beginning of HiKiz e.V. — an initiative that anyone can join: by making donations, by accumulating elevation gain while hiking (as part of our challenges), or by becoming a member.
It is important to us that every euro is put to good use. That is why we place great emphasis on transparency: 100% of donations go to regional projects and organizations. Our members have a say in where the money goes. This is how we ensure that aid reaches those who need it—in a transparent and direct manner.
